The November edition of Irish Banking and Finance Law Update is now live for subscribers of the service.

Irish Banking and Finance Law is a new addition to BPrO and features titles such as Banking and Security Law by William Johnston, Consumer and SME Credit Law by Nora Beausang and Irish Securities Law by Paul Egan. It features monthly articles by Maedhbh Clancy, Of Counsel with Arthur Cox and Editor of Twomey on Partnership.

In this month's edition of Irish Banking and Finance Law Update, Maedhbh writes that as signposted in our October 2021 Update, the Central Bank of Ireland (‘Central Bank’) published its new Strategy on 5 November 2021, with Central Bank Governor Gabriel Makhlouf noting that the Central Bank is at a ‘watershed moment’ in its development. She analyses this strategy and separately, she writes about an EU banking package and notes that the overall aims of the package are to implement Basel III, require banks to systematically identify, disclose and manage ESG risks as part of their risk management processes, stronger supervision, and the regulation and supervision of third country branches.
