Current insurance contracts standard to be amended

The IASB confirmed on 17 May 2016 that it will amend the current insurance contracts standard, IFRS 4, Insurance Contracts. The purpose is to address issues that may arise from implementing the new financial instruments standard, IFRS 9, before implementing the new insurance contracts standard which will replace IFRS 4.

LLPs and qualifying partnerships brought within scope of the micro-entities regime

Limited liability partnerships (LLPs) and qualifying partnerships can apply the micro-entities regime as a result of a change in the law which took effect on 17 May 2016, and as a consequence the FRC has issued Amendments to FRS 105 – Limited Liability Partnerships and Qualifying Partnerships.
