The Irish Tax Update is an update published quarterly, briefing practitioners on relevant Irish tax developments and is written by tax practitioner, James Hughes of Moore Stephens, exclusively for subscribers of the Bloomsbury Professional Irish Tax Service. Each update shall contain relevant commentary on new cases, legislation, and Revenue guides and policies.
James is a Tax Director with Moore Stephens, a Top10 accounting firm.
James’ experience to date covers all tax heads and he has advised a broad spectrum of industries and clients from small sole traders to large multi-nationals. He specialises in assisting SMEs and Owner-Managed Business; regularly advising clients on share-based remuneration schemes, corporate re-organisations, mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investments, retirement and succession planning, R&D tax credits and IP structuring, property transactions, EIIS investments and revenue audits.
James is active within the Institute of Tax, having contributed to the Irish Tax Review and also presented CPD seminars for the institute and other professional bodies. He is a member of the Tax Administration Committee of the Institute and is a representative member in the South West region.
